Ready for some adventure

Oh yea, I'm psyched. Booked tix for Europe recently and I'm ready to go exploring again. One of the places my friends and I are ready to go to is Cinque Terre in Italy. See that picture up there? Yep, that's the place. Looking forward to it, as well as some Gaudi architecture in Barcelona. It's gonna be an awesome trip, going with good friends, visiting exotic locations. Now if only I can plug into some computer and learn instant Italian, French, and Spanish, that'd be nice.

God's been making me realize some things recently. First, God is more than enough. With all my regrets, imperfections, and anxieties about the future, He's telling me that He is more than enough. Jer. 29:11, Phil 1:6, the first chapter of James all talk about this. His grace is the love that I have so that I can go on and love others. Second, I have to persevere to develop character, because character is more important than talent. Character stays with us our entire lives, and it's how others will notice about you.

On a lighter note, I think Lakers are going to win the championship in 6. I'm actually thinking that Detroit will give Lakers some trouble in the Finals. But in the end, yeah, you can call it Laker arrogance, I call it Laker confidence, but they're going to win their fourth championship since 2000. I don't know what's going to happen next year to the Lakers, but I'm gonna enjoy this one while I can cuz this could actually be the last championship with the current nucleus of players. I mean, I remember the 1987-88 Laker teams were awesome. They didn't just win championships, but they have class and respect of others. Coop, Magic, Scott, Worthy, Jabbar, AC Green, Kurt Rambis, Mychal Thompson, Chick and Stu announcing the games. It was awesome. Then the years when we sucked, it was painful. I kid you not, those were the vlade years. Maybe that's why. And then we traded vlade for Kobe and got Shaq in the same year and bam, we're back. :) Anyway, let's see how we do...
