Berlin

Berlin

So I'm back from Europe after a pretty eventful 4 week trip. I'm pretty sure I won't be going anywhere for a while. Over the next couple of days I'll be uploading photos from the trip for you all to enjoy. Here's Berlin. Interesting city, being that there are two contrasting sides of the city, West and East Berlin. You can still see construction cranes but the city reconstruction has definitely slowed down. The top of Reichstag was impressive. Designed by Norman Foster, it was both futuristic and cozy at the same time. Among other interesting places are the Pergamon Museum, urban beaches, area around Hackescher Markt, and parts of East Berlin. Design rules over there and there was an impressive bookstore called "Pro QM" that had many good design books. These photos are not the complete list as my friend GW has a bunch of other ones we took, but there are some good pix of the Reichstag in this one. GW's photoset is here. London, Budapest, Vienna, and Prague photosets coming up...
