In da office...
Well, I'm still working down here in our temporary office and it's a friday nite. It's alright. Comes with the territory. Tomorrow's the start of the tourney so we'll be coming back in at 8am to prepare for the matches. Probably won't leave this room until midnight tomorrow. It's ok, I'm looking forward to it.
Yesterday nite I finally had a chance to leave Long Beach and my hotel at night. It was good to hang out w/ Tony and JW, who just came back from his european trip. Sounded like he had a lot of fun. I'm personally looking forward to going to Asia and hopefully later on, Spain and London. I've got to get myself there....the wanderlust continues...
Like I said, drove out of Long Beach yesterday nite. Wound up meeting up w/ GW and JC and others to go to this free LACMA all nite party. I was so looking forward to it, but when we got there the line was insane! It stretched around wilshire, the cross street, and then 3rd ave also! If we waited it would have been like a 2 hr wait at least, so we went to Andora instead. Pretty quaint place. They had live Jazz and they were playing brubeck, which is always nice. We also had three intense and competitive foosball matches there. But personally, it was just nice to get out of the hotel. Everytime I look at the elevators at my hotel I just think of Christopher Walken dancing and flying around in the hotel during that Chemical Brothers music video. You've seen it right?
Dude, yesterday nite though, it was such an LA thing for us all to meet. Basically we had 5 people in 4 cars and we're all calling each other on cell phones as we change plans on the fly. The first car calls in, "Dude, don't come out to LACMA, the line is insane!" The second car goes, "Alright, let's chill at Andora for a while before heading out there again then." The third car goes, "Hey, where are you guys? Oh, Andora? Where's that? Wilshire? Do I have to make a U turn?" The first car goes, "Yeah, you probably have to make a U turn....wait, is that you making a U turn in front of me?" We all wound up parking all our cars one behind the other on wilshire, just like how it was in the movie swingers. Man, I'm sorry, I guess you just had to be there cuz I'm not telling this story right. Anyways...If you're in LA, you would know what I'm talking about.
So some of you might ask, what do you do when you can't leave the hotel? Well, I get to expense a movie a week and this week it was "How to lose a guy in 10 days." Yeah, yeah, shut up. I'm man enough to watch that flick. It was really funny. Yeah, it's so not fair if a girl cries. It really does equal to blackmail. I mean, what is a guy to do if his gf cries? Helpless..., or in the words of snoop....but I'm twisting the meaning...when that happens, it's GAME OVER! Next week's movie, The Italian Job.
Ok, gotta get back to work. I hope to get an off day next week. I should be able to get off monday. Sorry for not calling some of you back. If I have time I'll definitely call, but just bear with me alright? Lates.
