Cozy Airport Lounge

Hmm...good relaxing week in LA. Just what I needed. Let's see: Watched Manchester United play on Sunday. Van Nistelrooy scored a beautiful goal. Got to eat Cuban food at Versailles. Checked out the Grove and Farmer's market on Monday, having lunch with a former coworker. Good food and I really like chilling there. Laid back. Went to Henessey and Ingalls on third street, which happens to be more favorite bookstore, since it has the biggest collection of architectural and design books there. They have good books on airport architecture, church architecture, Gaudi and Calatrava books too. I could've been there for hours. Monday night, got to eat at Ding Tai Fung with some college friends. Best dumplings and shao long bao's anywhere. Everytime I come down to LA us 4 always hang out in the San Gabriel Valley. Same topics, same good conversations and bluntness.

Tuesday started by chilling out at Tony's place and having pretty good chats. He's an awesome friend. Always up for something to do. So we met up with GW and basically chilled at asian boba cafes until my body can't take anymore tapioca balls and milk tea. I gotta say though, I think SF should have these asian boba cafes. It's so nice to chill in the breezy LA night weather outside, sipping a cold boba drink (or something else, since LA ppl have already moved on to other more asian drinks like lychee slush w/ coconut. Go figure), and just hang out. Or you can just plop out your laptop and do some work while asian rap/hip hop music videos are displayed in the video wall. Kinda cool.

Wednesday morning has got to be the highlight of my trip though. I got to go surfing for the first time at Bosa Chica. Um...yeah, I'm outta shape.
