Back home in beautiful SF

Hi friends,
After visiting 6 cities of great sightseeing, delicious food, chatting with people from around the world, 1.2 gigs of photos/videos, and the dizzying haze of buses, subways, trains, and planes, I'm back safe and a bit jetlagged, resting in our beautiful city of San Francisco. There's so much to process and I'm sure I'll be spending some good time sharing photos and stories with you all, but yep, the vacay is over. Learned a lot about myself...and my new appreciation for anchovies, pesto, coffee, paella, and all those wonderful dishes in europe. I'm sorting thru the photos and will post them soon. Stay tuned. While you're here...here's my quick list of highlights:

- Swimming in perfect weather and cool clear water off beautiful Cinque Terre
- Food: pesto focaccia, capuccino, anchovies, margherita pizza, risotto, gnocchi, lasagna, moretti, churros con chocolate, cava, tapas, paella, catalunya cream, hazelnut gelato, and....spizzico, the mickey d's of Italy. :)
- Seeing the statue of David at the Accademia with my own eyes. You really have to see it yourself to understand that, heh, Michelangelo had some mad skills! ;) The highlight of Florence.
- Walking out of the pensione in Florence and find the Duomo right in front of me.
- Having Spizzico and cracking jokes with a friend in Il Campo in Siena
- Walking thru Gaudi and Modernista architecture in Barcelona. Casa Batllo, Sagrada Familia, Palau Guell, Parc Guell, La Pedrera, Palau de la Musica Catalunya. I enjoyed every part of walking thru the buildings and noticing all the tiny details and symbols the architect put into the buildings.
- Turning our dingy hotel room into a full service laundry operation in Rome.
- Relaxing with a couple of good friends in front of the pleasing night musical fountains of Montjuic in Barcelona.
- Watching Manchester United play Liverpool in an Irish pub, chatting with some new quick friends from London and Belgium, having a Guinness and chatting about anything and everything...
- Having the best dinner at La Fonda in Barcelona to wrap up this wonderful trip.

Ok, looking forward to sharing all this with you all and seeing how you all are doing.
