Um...is that a tornado?
Well, this sure does spice up our road trip real good. Yesterday we missed a tornado touching down in El Reno near I-40 in Oklahoma by an hour. It was crazy seeing orange flashes from thunderstorms on our right as we drove down the freeway.
Right now, we're stuck in our hotel room in Memphis because there is a severe weather warning for the city. Sirens have been going off for the last 20 minutes, and it's surreal to see graphics on tv describing the storm, and to see that it's passing over us. 3 tornados have been spotted to have touched down in nearby Missouri. The storm passed by where we were driving, on the I-40 in Arkansas, so we missed that storm by an hour as well.
This is becoming one heck of a trip.
